Mary Ketchmark
Biography: I have been a photographer for many years and have 554 weddings under my belt, so to speak. I love photographing babies and when it becomes a job, I might retire. As of now, I still enjoy it immensely. Please check out my website to see some of my work at www.photographybymary.PhotoReflect.com. One of my favorite photos is of the 765 Steam Engine. I stood right in the middle of the railroad tracks and got a great shot of it with the steam coming out of it. Everyone asks me how I got that shot and I have to confess, it was actually being pulled backwards to Fort Wayne and I was not in any danger of being run over.
I took my first painting class in 1986 and was instantly hooked. I have been painting in oils ever since and just recently have started to do some watercolors. I was at an auction where I was fortunate enough to pick up enough watercolor paper to last a lifetime. I enjoy painting on crosscut saws for people and have had some odd objects brought to me to paint on. I find painting very relaxing and sometimes amazed at what turns out from a blank canvas.
Mission Statement: I find painting very relaxing and self-satisfying.
Media: Oils, Photography
Special Information: I accept commission work and do a lot of painting on family-owned crosscut saws. Get them out of the barn, dust them off, and enjoy them in your home. Grandpa would be proud.
