Planning Meeting at B&J Cafe

Members Present:  Rita Marlow, Robert Zimmerman, Mary Ketchmark, Ted Taylor, Hilda Jahnz, Mary Campbell, Ken Baker, Ben Gehrmann, Don Grott

Meeting to discuss show at La Lumiere School on Friday,  April 17th

• All people present will be able to show their work

• Discussion on grid
  Janet, Mary K and LOLAA has 6 each (6ft), Don & Bob have 3 each (6ft) & Mary C has 3 short (5ft),

• Set up
  Bob Z to find out when we can set up
  Janet, Don & Ben willing to help set up

• Next LOLAA meeting 4/9 collection of paintings for sale from members who cannot attend show

• Bob will finalize details and bring them to the April 9th LOLAA meeting

• April 9th LOLAA meeting - Mary Campbell's watercolor demo

• April 17th - La Lumiere Art Show

• May 9th - LOLAA Fifth Year Celebration Dinner at The Cabernet

• Month of May - LOLAA Exhibit at the LaPorte Hospital Chapel

• First week of June - Arts in the Park starts.  Janet will bring a sign-up poster on April 9th. 

• June 11th LOLAA meeting - Jim Panos watercolor demo

• June 21st - LOLAA's Annual Show at Bethany Lutheran Church (still awaiting approval from church on date)

• June 27th - JayCee's Art Festival

• July or August (date tbd) - Trip to The Box Factory in St. Joseph, Michigan

• September 12th & 13th - Door Village Festival

• September 19th - Sunflower Festival

• January, February, & March 2010 - Traveling Art exhibit to libraries coordinated by Don Grott

Also discussed was the building of the supply shed for the Arts in the Park pavilion.  It is yet to be determined who will pay for the supplies.  LOLAA is supplying a carpenter.  The plans have been revised to include the supply shed.  Bob will be getting with Kitty to submit them  to the architect and review.
